We wish you all a very happy New Year!
We are busy writing away on our book and, again, if any of you want to participate in our research, email us! We would love to hear from you. December has been a bit of an upside-down month in our household -- we are living with my parents, as our new house is not yet done and we had to get out of the old house for the new owners. It has been surprisingly great and I wrote about it for DotMoms, which I will post when it runs.
Giving my family of six (!) a place to live for the holidays -- with smiles on their faces -- is an amazing gift my parents gave Rick, me and our kids this Christmas and something for which we will be forever grateful.
When talking about it with Emily on the phone the other day, she reminded me of a friend of hers who, at Christmas, wrote a letter to his parents thanking them for all the things they did for him growing up. He listed everything out, and, as you can imagine, the letter had a profound impact. So, here is a question: If you wrote a "Thank You" letter to your parents, what would it say?
