P.S. For those of you who have not visited the Clearinghouse, here is some background: In response to Katrina, we morphed this blog into a clearinghouse so that donors of goods and services could connect directly with people displaced the hurricane. Before we even knew the full extent of the hurricane damage, thousands of people were using the site to get clothes and food and household goods into the hands of people who desperately needed them. The traffic was so intense that we had to build a new site to handle it, and the Been There Clearinghouse was born. If you haven't visited, go to http://www.beenthereclearinghouse.com, and read some of the moving stories people have told there, and the many innovative ways that people are helping others.
