Hi Cooper & Emily, Thank you for posting this and I believe it does have momentum. I blogged on a related angle yesterday on MojoMom.com before I knew about these other protests. Frank Deford presented a horrendously cavalier commentary on NPR's "Morning Edition" basically saying "why should we hold athletes to a higher standard of behavior" as if it was okay that Roethelisberger was accused of sexual assault because, gosh, at least he didn't shoot anyone. I hope other Moms will listen to this commentary and write emails to Morning Edition in response. Her is the link to Deford's segment from April 28th: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=126311757

Amy, that is great. Thank you! I'll update this post to include the NPR link and your post! Thanks!

Thanks, Cooper, and I just posted a Mojo Mom blog follow up too (link in my signature) referring back to this post and Nicole's protest. I feel so much better knowing that so many other people are upset about this. Yesterday, listening to NPR in my car, I was like "Did I just hear that?" and "I hope I am not the only one who found that incredibly offensive." I still want to hear what the NPR Morning Editon Editors were thinking.

That is fantastic Amy, thank you!!!

Well, I will have to start shopping for different running shoes I suppose. My only problem is that the nike ones I get at the outlets in Delaware are about a quarter of the price I pay up here and they are the best shoes I have ever run in... On the other hand, I don't want to support them if they won't support me.

Thanks for posting this! Highly informative and eye opening and SO TRUE! Keep up the good work.
