What a lovely post. I remember a friend who still had her security blanket on her bed when she was in her 20s. When a visitor came to her house and saw the tattered, gray rag on her bed, she thought it was rediculous and made endless fun of her. I'm with my friend, though. What's the harm of having something that makes you feel warm and secure? I know of Moms who cut security blankets into little pieces so the child is left with nothing and eventually gives it up. Is that necessary?
